Zibuza is an online professional learning community (PLC) that aims to improve the quality of teaching in South Africa by means of discussions, collaborations and access to resources. Zibuza is personalised to meet the individual and collective needs of a teacher based on location, grade, subjects and interests.

The concept behind the upside down apple icon is the fact that Zibuza turns a teachers world upside down, by providing opportunities (the apple) that they would not normally have access to.

The apple is very much associated with teachers, world-wide. But teaching is not as enticing career as it once was. Opportunities and support for teachers, specifically in South Africa, is not what it is supposed to be.
